Letter: Mount Vernon, to Robert Lewis, 1796 June 26.

Washington writes to Robert Lewis, son of his deceased sister Betty Lewis, about the title of his lands on Accocset Run that belonged to his mother, Mary Ball Washington. He expresses sorrow on the death of Mrs. Haney and discusses the provisions for the care and maintenance of her daughter. Travel plans for his last official journey as president are also mentioned.
